Too Much Noise

Halburn is up in arms again about "excessive noise."

Seems that construction workers are cutting asphalt in his Dunbar neighborhood. A block away from his HUD garage apartment!

He demands that the workers erect sound walls around their construction site and start later than 8am. He demands that the industry design quieter equipment.
This is a guy that's deaf in one ear (he claims because of an improperly treated ear infection. It's always someone else's fault.) and hears voices in the other one. He also uses a CPAP machine which makes noise.

But even after all that, this whiny fuckstick STILL claims construction noise STILL woke him up.
In his world the laws of physics don't apply. Sound can be contained with a magic wall that prevents it from escaping into the outside air.

Here's a suggestion.
BUY SOME FUCKING EAR PLUGS if your hearing is so sensitive.

It doesn't make any difference when they would start work.
Any time is too early for him. Start at 9, he'd say start at 10.
The world must run on his schedule.

He also tried to use the fact that there is a primary school one block in the other direction, conveniently leaving out the fact that school has been out for the last 2 weeks.

He constantly screams about common sense, consideration, decency and respect but shows none of that to anyone.

"Construction workers need to show more common sense and decency. Cutting asphalt for a NON-EMERGENCY situation before 8:00 am with loud machinery that wakes me up behind closed windows is RUDE! There's no other way to say it, folks! You have the right to earn your living but not to disrupt my home! The industry needs to design quieter equipment and show common decency. Also, telling someone to call city hall when it's obviously closed is rude!"

"We put Neal Armstrong on the moon, in 1969. They can design and build quieter construction equipment in the year 2014. The industry thinks that because they are creating jobs and/or progress they can run over people. Frankly, I don't care how much noise they make ON THE CONSTRUCTION SITE. I just don't want to hear it in my home with my windows shut. And,  it isn't just city hall to blame. (Which isn't answering the phone). Workers simply need to show common sense and consideration. I am sure that if I walked into ANY of those workers homes (at ANY time) and demanded that they stop what they are doing and read my website that the police would be called. But they think they can invade MY home with their loud noise and I must tolerate it. Again, they are being rude!"
"The guy doing the work was the owner of his company. He chose the equipment, the time, and to have a crappy attitude with no consideration for the neighbors.  I work full-time and have a small business. I work 7 days a week. So my SLEEP IS IMPORTANT TO ME! And, yes, I WILL complain about some inconsiderate person that doesn't respect those around him."

"It needs to be said that I am nearly deaf in one ear, with a constant ringing noise (due to an improperly treated ear infection.) I also use a CPAP machine which has a blowing sound. So the fact that this construction worker STILL woke me up-from nearly a block away-tells you how noisy he was. As for this administration and workers, the previous one was worse on that issue."

"they were cutting asphalt on the street about a block away. Which means they have NO CASE for disrupting INSIDE MY OWN HOME!"

"They can control when and where they turn on their equipment. They can erect sound walls around their construction site. They DO NOT have the right to disturb me inside my home. It is RUDE and INCONSIDERATE! Why do you defend their RUDE and INCONSIDERATE behavior?

" The purpose of an ambulance is to assist in saving lives. It moves fast and is usually not in one place for a long time like construction noise. An ambulance is working in an EMERGENCY situation which was NOT the case for the man cutting ssphalt which 24 hours later STILL remains in place. This worker was putting HIS CONVENIENCE ahead of the rights of the neighbors who pay the property taxes that fund his employment and should have waited until after 9 and also erected a sound wall as there is also a primary school one block in the other direction. Its a matter of common sense and common decency."
