Totally Stable Father Blows Up Phones At Capitol

Out of state domestic terrorist Mark Vance Halburn repeatedly called the offices of the WV Senate Monday demanding to speak with Senate President Mitch Carmichael.
Halburn has been arrested numerous times for telephone harassment.

Halburn was calling concerning HB4648, the so-called "Parenting Fairness Act of 2020" which would have mandated 50/50 custody in a divorce no matter how crazy one of the parents was. It would remove the old standard of doing what is in the best interests of the child and replace it with the presumption that shared legal and physical custody is in the best interests of the child.
This doesn't take into account unfit parents like Mark Halburn. He is a shining example of why a bill like this should never, ever be considered.

It would have enabled all of the past cases with disputed custody to be reopened.

Which is exactly what Halburn wanted. After FIVE losing trips before the WV Supreme Court, it was his only hope to regain any sort of visitation with his son.
As of this date, it has been 1000 days since Halburn was ordered to not see his son.

The bill did not pass. The House version was over 25 pages, a manifesto filled with provisions that would have been nearly impossible to enforce in any way. When the Senate Judiciary whittled it down to two pages, the House lost its mind. They sent back an amendment to it, but it never made it through on the last night. It got lost in shuffle.

Halburn, a South Carolina resident, never attended any hearings or floor votes during the Legislature's 60 day session. He was hospitalized through most of it with what some say was a severe case of herpes, which left him with plenty of time to call and pester the fuck out of everybody.

During one of Monday's calls, Halburn "COMMANDED" that the Senate be called back into session to pass this bill and get it to the governor "in five minutes."

It was patiently explained to Halburn that Senator Carmichael wasn't even in the office.

Lippy then gave a long winded spiel about technology enabling people to conference in from anywhere because "HE WAS CALLING FROM A HOSPITAL BED!" and then screamed, "I COMMAND YOU TO CONFERENCE MITCH CARMICHAEL IN RIGHT NOW!"

Halburn made a big show of voting in South Carolina a couple weeks back ... so he’s no longer a constituent of anyone here in West Virginia.

Halburn Plagiarizes Carmichael Response

Fat bag of dicks literally steals from the Gazette. Again.

Once again, Mark Vance Halburn has blatantly plagiarized another newspaper article from the Charleston Gazette-Mail.
This time it is a response from Senate President Mitch Carmichael to an AFL-CIO authored op-ed that ran in the paper on  March 21st.

And in plagiarizing it from the Gazette, Halburn eliminated the context in the first paragraph because he had to conceal what Carmichael was writing in response to. He removed the hyperlink as well as the title of that story.

It's not like it was a general letter to the editor that Halburn could steal and then pass off that it was sent to his blog. It was a direct response to an op-ed that ran only in the Gazette.

There is no way in the world that the President of the West Virginia Senate would  send that article to him as a letter to the editor responding to an op-ed in the Gazette. What would be the point of that?

Halburn is a guy who has never missed an opportunity to bully, threaten, harass, and jam a camera in the face of a person who has the misfortune of representing the district where Halburn's fake blog is based. When it comes time to clear the air, that's certainly not going to be the first place Carmichael runs to get the message out.

Halburn ends the stolen article with a "Publisher's note" which reads in part, "The columnist’s expressed opinions and information provided are his own..."
They weren't provided, you dipshit. You stole them.

Halburn continues to demonstrate his lack of ethics and integrity by plagiarizing text and publishing it, and by lying to his “readers” by acting like it was sent to him as a letter. 

A practice like this is business at its absolute worst, practiced by an immoral charlatan masquerading as a journalist. Halburn will stoop to the lowest, most vulgar, vile, and disgusting ploys to deceive the honest, hard-working citizen. He is the lowest form of scum on the face of the earth.

HALBURN REMOVED FROM CAPITOL AFTER ALTERCATION

Monday evening, Mark Vance Halburn waited outside the Senate chamber for State Senators Charles Trump and Mitch Carmichael until after the evening session ended. As soon as they exited, he began screaming at them. The brouhaha was so loud it brought nearby staffers out of their offices.



Unbeknownst to him, he had been followed by Capitol Police since he entered the building.
And as soon as he lost his shit, he was bum rushed out the door.

Looks like all those bipartisan co-sponsors he claimed to have for his self-serving ideas of family law court reform didn't materialize.
Why do the police continue to mollycoddle this menace?

Due to his continued interruptions and altercations with members of the House and Senate, the Capitol police now actively keep track of him once he enters the Capitol complex.
