DENIED!

In his ongoing battle to be recognized as a legitimate journalist, Halburn has been soundly rejected again by West Virginia State University.

At least there's one government office that has the balls to tell him no.

 

Not a bonafide news service? Has she not seen his headset?
Many times it is easier to get press credentials with a title of 'blogger' or 'podcaster' than that of journalist, of course it helps if you're not an asshole too.    
 
I'm sure he has already located Ms. Osborne's address and is in the process of  harassing  her unmercifully.

Another FOIA Fishing Expedition

Halburn is well known for his FOIA fishing expeditions. And since the Secretary of State now has a searchable database of all requests filed with WV government agencies, his demands can now be read online.

His latest vendetta seems to be against West Virginia State University. He was demanding copies of emails and their criteria for what they constitute as working press.

The focus of his ire this time is WVSU Director for Public Relations Jack Bailey.
Once we saw the request shown below, it all made sense.

Last month when WVSU was celebrating its 125th anniversary, we thanked WVSU for adding us to to the press list and giving us full access all to the events. The Blobby Blogger begged to be on the press list but was repeatedly denied.
That's what started his latest crusade.

Many of those who have stood up to him also get a shout-out.
Surprising that he left out Danny Jones and Judge Michael Kelly.

WVSU Celebrates 125 Years

We'd like to thank the fine people at West Virginia State University for adding us to to the press list yesterday and giving PutnamLies.com full access to the 125th Anniversary events, including last night's book signing by Dr. Charles Byers and the Charleston Chamber Orchestra concert.

At one point during the evening,  Halburn showed up, stinking up the place with his slovenly appearance. A WVSU spokesperson tells PutnamLies.com that Halburn had harassed them for days for access to the events, only to be turned away because his blog is not recognized as news media.

Last nights activities were the only events that WVSU security attended all day. Coincidence? I think not.
