Forum Marred By Halburn's Appearance
On Tuesday evening, The South Charleston Chamber of Commerce and the Woman's Club of South Charleston hosted a forum for West Virginia Supreme Court candidates.
The free event, which was open to the public, was attended by Allen Loughry, John Yoder and Tish Chafin. Robin Davis sent a representative. Attendees were able to meet and greet the candidates until Mark Halburn showed up and cornered each potential Justice and began a harangue about how he thought the courts should be run.

Fresh from his latest telephone harassment arrest, a visibly sweaty (or maybe it was drool), rumpled and slovenly Halburn apparently arranged an outing for all his deadbeat, degenerate Judge Watkins hating buddies as they were all photographed seated together at the event.
Halburn especially wanted his picture taken with convicted sex offender Robert Ray Harper, Sr.
Harper was convicted in 2000 of molesting a 12 year old little girl that was a family friend.
Harper is one of the deadbeats that Judge Watkins screamed at.
Why?
It seems he owes close to $50,000 in unpaid child support and refuses to pay it, even after receiving a large court settlement.

This is the type of person Mark Halburn has been defending and supporting.
We ask Halburn why he would associate with someone of Harper's ilk.
Halburn has had an on-going fascination with sex offenders for years and now we know the reason why. He enjoys their company.
Halburn is apparently willing to associate with anyone that shares his beliefs. The enemy of his enemy is his friend. There are also some reports of some unsavory things he may have done in the past.
It's never a good idea to be hanging out with someone like this, fatboy. Especially when you're in a dispute over the custody of your child.
You are known by the company you keep.
Why any parent would allow this degenerate to be anywhere near, much less take photographs of, their children and publish them on his blog is a mystery to us. That Kanawha County Schools allows him to substitute teach is an abomination.

You've posed the question of why Mark Hallburn enjoys being in the company of sex offenders, that's easy - I believe that he looks up to them. The more appropriate question is why anyone, regardless of their offender status, would want to be photographed with someone who has the character of Mark Halburn. When you reach rock bottom, you're supposed to climb up, not make friends with the other rocks. Sex offenders, do yourself a favor, associate with people of higher caliber than Mark Hallburn. While he may promise you the moon and the stars and all your dreams to come true if only he can "bring down the system" that he bullies against, that system is working for law abiding citizens. With your history, that's who you should be getting cozy with - law abiding citizens. Not Mark Halburn.

To be bluntly honest, I think the reason Hallburn "associate with someone of Harper's ilk" (as you asked) is that Hallburn is of Harper's ilk. Yes, I am saying that I believe Hallburn has a thing for little kids. We have heard (and you have reported) that he has be busted taking pictures of kids in parks. We never see these pictures posted on his blog and I cringe at the thought of what he is doing with those pictues. I could be completely off base, but why would he hang out with a convicted sex offender if he isn't one himself (though unconvicted)? It is a question that is worth asking.

Since this blog is public and I am quite certain that the judge handling his case knows about it, if it were to be found out that Hallburn is associating himself with a convicted sex offender, he would be instantly stripped of all parental rights and would never see his kid again (which would be a Godsend for his son...and his ex-wife).

ReplyDeleteIn the Gazette, Halburn says "I contacted the Workforce West Virginia when I moved out of state". Now why on earth would Halburn expect state of WV benefits while he lives in South Carolina? Maybe he was getting both states unemployment benefits.

I also enjoy the photo if for nothing else than the sartorial comparison - while the rest of the crowd wears sport coats and business attire, Fatsack wears a sloppy, sweat-stained, unbuttoned-to-gigolo-level short sleeve. Bob Harper needs to hop off the internet and go to an after-hours class at the Adult Learning Center in his county. Every county has one and he could sure use it. They can help him with that wonderful grammar and spelling. Hell, I could write better than that in Kindergarten! Oh but wait, you can't go to one of those cause they are considered a school and sex offenders aren't allowed within 50 to 500 feet of a school of any kind. ReplyDeleteA little info folks might not know. Registered sex offenders are typically not allowed to be online for any reason, even work. I would look into if that is true in this case and if it is, I would make a call to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office and let them know Mr. Harper has broken the terms of his release. That means he goes back to jail for a very, very long time...where he belongs. They just love your ilk in prison there Harper. It's common knowledge that sex offenders don't make it out of prison in one piece and if they do, they aren't ever right again. We can only hope that happens to you. :)

Do NOT feel sorry for him just because he lost a leg, he has brought ALL of this on himself. In fact, Robert Harper SR. is so far behind on ALL of his child support on ALL 9 of us kids that he ran and hid EVERY TIME the Bureau of Child Support found his sorry a**. He has NEVER held down a job for that reason and in fact he lives off of all the hard working Americans.
I do not feel that the way this worthless excuse for a male(Mark Halburn) has been running his mouth about my mother and the man who stepped up and that raised me and my brother because Robert Harper Sr was too busy making kids instead of TAKING care of the kids his had. Maybe this POS needs a swift kick in the A** and stuck in a jail cell with the men that rip the child abusers and sex offenders apart.
