Isn't it amazing that less than a month after he tried to unload his non working inkjet printer, Handouts Halburn is looking for a working one for a young couple to print coupons and college assignments?
Funny how that works.
He and his wife aren't that young and neither of them are in college.
A source on the inside says Mark is trying to go back to school and get a master's in Human Resources.

I can't wait until the textbook definition of someone with no people skills works on an advanced degree in ... people skills.

I find it ironic that a man who has been fired from so many jobs wants to go back to school for Human fucking Resources.

*IF* he goes back to school, look for a lawsuit filed against students and faculty because he didn't get the grade he wanted on a test.
It is now official that our buddy has been FIRED by Kanawha County schools and can no longer teach there. So I guess he'll need a new day job come August.

ReplyDeletePutnamLIES.com got a hit Friday afternoon from Strayer University, which has a regional "campus" in Teays Valley. We're sure this was Li'l Marky's way of letting us know what's going on.

Strayer is a for profit university, so if you are breathing and have the money they'll admit you. It's like a professional trade school.
They obviously have pretty low standards if they'll admit a sociopath like Halburn.
Strayer claims they are regionally accredited. All that basically means is that the college educates students, and is not simply letting people pay for degrees.
However "real colleges" also have program accreditation, which means the actual coursework has been reviewed and given a seal of approval, so to speak. Its business administration and public administration programs lack professional accreditation.
So, shamu is going to shell out something like $25,000 dollars over three years because he thinks he needs a better degree.
It ain't the degree pal, It's YOU.

I'm sure his fat wife will be paying for it, it's not like Mark actually has a real job or anything, let alone afford a Happy Meal.
I wonder if he'll get any sort of financial assistance? Since he doesn't work and has a kid, I'd say he'd use that, kinda like what people on welfare do.
He might as well go to the University of Phoenix...

ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that EVERY human resources/hiring person I know automatically ditches every single "internet only" educated resume as soon as it crosses their desk. Must be convenient though to just toss all of the Strayer/Daymar/Phoenix, etc. people in one fell swoop. There's a reason these aren't accepted in real life...
Hey man, lay off Strayer. I'm an adjunct there and at least from my perspective while it is an open enrollment university it is harder to pass one of our courses than one at say UC. The academic credentials of all the educators there are top notch.

At least someone at Strayer is aware of the blob and can be on the lookout for him cheating on his work.
