Hides Behind First Amendment

In another unsigned screed written in
the third person, PutnumLIVE.com's out-of-state publisher Mark Hallburn continues to attack Kanawha County Family Court Judge Michael J. Kelly. 

Halburn is furious about a ruling that Kelly made on August 8th, 2012 forbidding him, after moving to South Carolina in March, from removing his son from the state.

Kelly is no doubt concerned that due to Halburn's past behavior, it is in the child's best interests to stay in West Virginia. He also realizes that Halburn is the type of vindictive prick that would kidnap his own son and disappear.

Halburn says, "Attention West Virginia parents, if you exercise your First Amendment rights, you could lose parenting rights with your children."

He claims that that due to his complaints about Kelly to the West Virginia Supreme Court he is being retaliated against.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

No one is trying to silence Halburn. He can say and write whatever drivel he pleases. He's already proved that.
But he must also be aware that his words have consequences. And that he will be held responsible for what he says.

Halburn has threatened, harassed and cajoled Kelly since Halburn's wife began divorce proceedings in November of 2011. Halburn has posted under at least 150 different names on the website Topix. All of those posts attack his enemies and support his own positions. He began attacking Kelly as soon as the case was assigned to him.
 

This has nothing to do with speech everything to do with actions.

In 1999 Halburn and his second ex-wife were flying back to California. Once on the plane, Halburn started complaining endlessly about the flight being late.

While he was taking one of several bathroom breaks, (no doubt so he could complain some more) the flight attendant told Mrs Halburn that if she didn't do something with him that they would both be removed from the flight at the next stop.

During the construction of the Hurricane Walmart, Halburn was arrested for telephone harassment after he called the construction supervisor over 10 times in one day and cursed at him over "excessive noise".

He was arrested after forcing his way into a closed public pool and continuing to swim after he was told to leave.

He was convicted of trespassing after another pool incident in Kanawha County. The boy was not present to witness any of those.

Halburn was involved in yet another pool incident at a Charlotte NC hotel in 2011 where he was escorted out for causing a disturbance. This was in front of the little boy.

He is persona non grata at the Comfort Inn in Barboursville after creating a disturbance in the lobby. He was ordered never to return there.

There have been numerous incidents in Putnam County as well where he has shown his ass while his son was with him. Especially involving pools and Joe Haynes.

This is the type of irrational behavior the judge is concerned about.

Hallburn says, "That's absurd, he lets me have my son inside the state. The risk is the same. Kelly's ego can't handle the fact that I complained about his bizarre rulings to Ketchum." He claims his son is being held hostage in West Virginia. Halburn continues, "My son can't go to the beach, the zoo, could not visit me on Father's Day. Kelly is treating my son like a second-class citizen and is violating his rights to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

Oh, he can do all those things. Just not with you, meathead.

The risk is that if Hallburn has his son and is arrested outside of West Virginia, the little boy will be without a guardian, hours from home. Therefore, Kelly ruled that the child must stay in West Virginia. And rightly so.

What Halburn doesn't like is that now, someone in authority is telling HIM what to do. And HIS ego can't take it.
And there's not anything he can do about it except whine about it. Endlessly.

What Halburn means by all this is that HIS ego can't handle the fact that he is no longer in charge of how he can interact with his child. And it's nobody's fault but his.

"Using my First Amendment rights to redress my government for grievances, I contacted Chief Justice Menis Ketchum, who asked me to prepare a motion," says Halburn. "I did, then he ordered me not to contact the court. Both of these so-called judges should be impeached for violating federal constitutional law."

What Halburn neglects to say is that he filed innumerable "motions" and followed those up with innumerable harassing phone calls to the Chief Justice, other Justices, administrators and employees of the Supreme Court, both at their offices and their homes.
THAT is why he has been ordered not to contact the Court any more.
Several years ago he was banned from even stepping foot on Supreme Court property.

Hallburn says he will be sending a Letter of Impeachment to Speaker Rick Thompson and the members of the West Virginia House of Delegates directing them to impeach Kelly and Ketchum as well as Putnam County Family Law Judge William Watkins.
Of course he will.
And he will follow up those letters with telephone calls. Lots of them.

They will ignore him and order Halburn not to contact them either.

Additionally, Hallburn wants Kelly removed because he ignored a motion providing evidence that his mother was dying, thereby not allowing her to see Halburn's son.

Halburn conveniently ignores the fact that his son is four years old. Halburn had plenty of opportunity to take the boy to see his Grandmother before she was knocking on death's door. Halburn visited in January of this year. Without the boy. And before that in November of 2010. Again without the boy. If Halburn was so anxious for her to see her grandson, why didn't he attempt to take the boy until now?

Mark Halburn is a narcissistic sociopath. This is not about anyone but him.
His son is nothing more than a convenient crutch for his grievances.
It says a lot about a person that when his mother dies, the only thing he can think about is how a judge's ruling effects HIM.

Halburn believes those who disagree with him should be fired and jailed.

We're calling on Mark Halburn to do what he's done in other Family Court cases.
Release the videos of his divorce case. 
ALL of the videos of his hearings before Judge Kelly. EVERY SINGLE MINUTE, not just “Cherry Pick” the portions that make the judge look bad.

We will see whether or not he takes the high road or continues with the low road.
You're the one calling for these hearings to be open to reporters and the public.

We usually look at all the stories from last year but there's really only one big story (with a bunch of smaller related ones) we're going to talk about and you all know what it is.

Wife Files For Divorce
In November, Halburn's long-suffering wife filed for divorce against him. Whether it was him losing yet another job, the parks ban, his videoed behavior at his son's doctors office or just an accumulation of his assholery over the years, Mrs. Halburn clearly had enough.
Halburn decided to make the big announcement on Topix, his favorite hangout. Oddly enough, he never announced it on his opinion blog or on his Facebook page.

As part of that announcement he said he would sell PutnumLive and move. We knew the sale announcement was bullshit. How he can sell something that's worth nothing?
He moved but he's still publishing his shitty little blog from South Carolina.

Of course, he said he was moving at least three times last year. In June 2011 he said he sold his blog for "six figures" and bought his family an ocean-front condo in North Myrtle Beach. Then in August of 2011 he said he hit the Powerball and was buying an island home. And in January of this year, he said he moved to a condo in The Lodge development on a golf course in Myrtle Beach. He claimed to have sold his blog and is being paid to manage it for 24 months. We all know Halburn couldn't even manage a good bowel movement.

What actually happened was, at the beginning of last March, his wife threw him out of her house.

With the snow falling, Halburn packed up his pathetic belongings into a puny U-Haul van, tucked his tail between his legs and slunk out of town in the dead of night.

The new reality for Mark Halburn is that he lives in a HUD trailer 50 miles from the beach and he works a part time job at a pier waiting tables and selling bait.

Attacks Judge Michael Kelly
Just before he married his second wife, Halburn forced her and her mother to file for bankruptcy. Putnam County Family Court Judge William Watkins represented the two women in those hearings. Because of that, Watkins recused himself from Halburn's divorce proceedings. The case was them assigned to Kanawha County Family Court Judge Michael Kelly.
Kelly does not put up with anyone's shit and immediately put an end to Halburn's intimidation tactics. Halburn then began attacking Kelly on Topix where he called him a piece of shit among other names and began impugning his integrity.
In February, Judge Kelly signed a temporary child custody order stating who gets the son and when he is to be picked up and returned. Part of that order prevents Halburn from taking the kid out of state. The Judge recognized that Halburn is a risk to take the child and disappear.

On the evening of March 27, after he had already been fired from one job, Halburn arrived a day early to pick up the kid and Delores rightly wouldn't let him have him until the the evening of the 28th which was the time ordered by the court.
Halburn then left the house and went to McDonalds and called the police to try and get them to help him get the kid. They laughed at him and told him to pound sand.

In May, Halburn filed a 5 page handwritten motion with random CAPITAL letters and $10 million in demands. Some of the AWESOME highlights include: Since Halburn is banned from taking the kid out of state, he demands that the State of West Virginia build a zoo near Charleston by 5 pm April 22, 2012 AND bring the Atlantic Ocean to Charleston. He demands Kelly's impeachment and demands that Kelly and Delores' attorney, Henry Glass, pay for a trip to the beach for the boyand his entire pre-K class, since he missed spring break with the boy. He repeatedly whined that he didn't want the divorce and he should get $50,000 from the sale of the wife's house, and cried that she is holding his 50 inch HDTV hostage, which is IN HIS BUSINESS' NAME.

5 pages of single spaced awesome. Oh yeah, he also wished death or commitment in a mental institution upon Judge Kelly.

At the end of May, he filed what he called a "Rite of Prohibition" against the wife, Kelly and her lawyer. That motion was denied.

Halburn is now complaining that Kelly refused to let him take her son to see his grandmother in California (who has since kicked the bucket). Ignoring the fact that the little boy is 4 years old and Halburn never bothered to take to take him for a visit until now. The boy has become just another pawn in Halburn's continuing vendettas with those whom he disagrees.

He called the director of family court services one morning at 9:55 and demanded Chief Justice Menis Ketchum be removed by 10 am. He was informed that she didn't have that kind of power.

He has been harassing people at the WV Supreme Court repeatedly. He even managed to harass individual justices via cell phone and even their home phones.
After filing endless trivial "emergency motions" he was ordered to cease contact with the court.
Halburn was previously banned from the Supreme Court for making threats against employees there.

Attacked William Watkins
As part of his Family Court vendetta and with the help of his toady Lawrence Jay Smith, Halburn published the address and photo of Judge William Watkins endangering Watkins' and his family's safety. Watkins' house and cars have been vandalized numerous times since then.

Halburn continues to harass Watkins via telephone.

And PutnumLive also continues to decline:
Continues to Falsify His Readership Stats
Halburn continues with his "setting new records for readership" bullshit, but PutnamEYES.com's IT expert showed over a year ago how Hallburn inflates his hit counter by loading almost 100 different links on every pageload, thereby artificially inflating the actual visitors by a factor of 100. We proved his actual daily readership was about 29 readers. Halburn knows his numbers are a fraud too. He continues to defraud his "advertisers" with these false claims.

Halburn "apologizes" for being an asshole
As part of a desperate last ditch effort to keep his wife from getting rid of him, Halburn swallowed his pride and made a weak attempt at an apology for his past misdeeds by burying it as one of his Letters to the Editor. As we all know Mark Hallburn has never apologized for anything. He does nothing unless it benefits him. This was no different.
Too little, too late.

Form Letters From Politicians
Halburn continued his pathetic practice of running press releases from politicians promoting their agendas and running other people's Facebook comments as letters to the editor.

It's not like he ever had much real original content, but virtually all the "stories" he runs now are news releases from various government agencies or arrest reports sent to him by the Sheriff's office.

Halburn NOT Arrested This Year Immediately upon his relocation to South Carolina, police agencies here began receiving inquiries from agencies there about him. And he also ran away in time so that he didn't get arrested when he made the big stink at his 2nd ex-wife's house over picking up his son. But, there are still four months left in the year.

We believe that PutnamLIES.com's coverage of his antics have deterred him from behaving in a way that would get him arrested and make him subject to more ridicule here.

So in summary, Halburn has been forced to move out of state.
His baseless attacks and bullying have been slowed. He has not even made an attempt to defend himself here. Oh, he reads us every day, but he only left one comment last year, and he didn't even have the balls to sign his own name, he tried to do it anonymously. And all he did then was call Joe Haynes and Scott Williamson names. He not once offered any defense for his actions.
Which says a lot. It's hard to defend yourself against the truth.

There was a decrease in articles here at PutnamLIES.com, but that's O.K.
It's because we've forced Halburn to cut way back on his assholery. Oh, he's still a douchebag, but now he's South Carolina's douchebag and he knows that putnamlies.com will be all over any misstep that he makes here or there.

Our mission all along has been to expose his behavior and force him to act in a more civilized manner. Before he started getting pounded from all sides he was free to attack anyone for any reason without repercussions. Not anymore. PutnamLIES.com has answered any attack that Halburn makes. And now his output shows it. Who would have thought that Halburn would be apologizing to anyone for anything?

Who's Behind Attacks on Judge Watkins?

No Surprise, It's Mark Halburn
Out of State Publisher Sides With TWO Sex Offenders, & Child Abuser Domestic Batterer
 

Mark Halburn has a problem. When someone won't do something for him, he attacks them. Now, the hate blogger has donned the cloak of the crusading journalist in attempt to smear a Putnam County Judge.

This time it's Putnam County's Family Court Judge William Watkins.

Except the people he is defending are not the upstanding citizens Halburn portrays them to be. Two are convicted sex offenders with large outstanding child support bills.

How incompetent and dishonest is this? Halburn is trying to tear down a judge by using sex offenders as his poster boys.

As part of Halburn's on-going vendetta against Putnam Magistrate Kim Blair, he filed a complaint against her in 2007. Part of that complaint included his allegations of a letter that he claimed was in a sealed divorce file. Halburn went on another of his FOIA fishing expeditions and demanded that Judge Watkins turn that letter over to him. Watkins rightly refused. Divorce proceedings are sealed unless one of the parties releases them. There has never been one shred of evidence that such a letter exists, except in the fevered mind of Mark Halburn.

Hallburn feels he can do and act however he wants by hiding behind the First Amendment, masquerading as a reporter and bloviating about the public's right to know. All he is really doing is looking out for is his own selfish self-interest.

Halburn's second wife and her mother were represented by Watkins when they both filed for bankruptcy in 1998, no doubt due to pressure from her soon to be husband Mark Halburn. Watkins recused himself from Halburn's messy divorce case due to this fact.

Halburn continues to defend his criminal buddy Tr0y Suxton, a convicted child abuser domestic batterer. Suxton likes to parse words too. Call it what you will. Battery is abuse.

Hallburn lies when he says he and Suxton have never socialized together and have never met with each other, ignoring the fact that Suxton was at Halburn's home on November 5, 2011, just days after his second wife filed for divorce, when he invited "trash bloggers" to a debate in her front yard (He called it the World Headquarters of PutnumLive.com) . Halburn posted an article on his opinion blog, with this photo, of Suxton in his yard waiting to "debate."

Suxton claims to be "outraged" that Watkins called him a "child abuser."

Suxton may be outraged, but he IS a convicted child abuser domestic batterer. He abused two of his sons by beating them publicly, in front of numerous witnesses. He has expressed absolutely no remorse for his crimes and continues to taunt the judicial system, law enforcement and others in Putnam County.

We're outraged that this sub-human piece of shit is still free to roam the streets, vandalize property and threaten Putnam County officials.

Halburn started this latest crusade in October 2011 by accusing Watkins of not paying his homeowner association dues. As if that had anything to do with anything.

Hallburn repeatedly telephoned Watkins office to demand a comment. When Watkins did not return any of those calls, Hallburn went to Watkins' office. After Halburn made another one of his famous scenes, Case Coordinator Lori Mitchell ordered him out of the building. Hallburn responded with a letter to Watkins demanding his side of the story and complaining about Mitchell's behavior. Watkins replied by saying, "Thank you for pointing out that I need to get my homeowner's dues caught up. I hadn't been aware of this until now."

As always, Hallburn says he never made that accusation. He claims he ASKED why Watkins was listed in the newsletter, as "Not in good standing".
We say there's no difference. It's always a matter of semantics with this fat fuck.
Suxton also lives in the same subdivision as the judge. This is where the homeowners association letter came from.

Hallburn then relayed the situation and letters to his fat little toady, West Virginia Record freelance reporter (and sometimes PutnumLive.com reporter) Lawrence Jay Smith to make it appear that Halburn had nothing to do with the story and deflect an appearance of bias. Smith telephoned Watkins seeking comment. Watkins responded with a voicemail to Smith which Smith gave to Suxton who published it on another one of his YouTube accounts.

Smith went to Watkins' house, photographed it and passed the photo to Halburn who published it.

Smith is a personal friend and part-time employee of Halburn's who has been doing Halburn's dirty work for years and as such has absolutely no business reporting on anything to do with him. The WV Record has allowed Smith to report stories about Halburn until May of this year. Doing so is a breach of journalistic ethics and the Record, where he is a freelancer, should give Smith's fat ass the heave-ho.

Halburn has also recruited Smith to report on issues not only involving Watkins but Kanawha County Family Court Judge Michael J. Kelly as well, who is now hearing Hallburn's divorce case.

Halburn often likes to pat himself on the back about things he does not publish.

In 2008 Halburn wrote on his hate blog, "For security purposes. PutnumLIVE.com has chosen not to publish the home addresses and telephone numbers of Judges Norbert "Ed" Eagloski, O.C. "Hobby" Spaulding, Magistrates Kim M. Blair, Kylene Brown, and Linda J. Hunt, Family Court Judge "Chip" Watkins, as well as Prosecutor Mark A. Sorsaia, and Sheriff Mark L. Smith."

However, in this case, since Halburn has a new-found hard on for all things Watkins, he published the picture of the judge's house along with a scan of a letter showing Watkins' address. This is just one more example of Mark Halburn and PutnumLive.com's hypocrisy and unethical behavior.

After that, four incidences of vandalism have occurred at Watkins' home. His wife's car windows have been smashed several times and a window in his house was broken.
Suxton lives about a half mile away.

Halburn later returned to Judge Watkins' house on July 7, 2012, just before 10 AM and took several more photographs which he subsequently published.

Halburn then steps up and defends convicted child molester Terry Hamm.
Hamm was convicted in 2000 of sexually assaulting a young girl. Halburn has a on-going fascination with sex offenders.

Hamm was jailed by Watkins after missing a hearing for being in arrears on his child support to the tune of $10,544.62.

Shortly after that, Hamm filed a writ of prohibition against Watkins and Mitchell.

Then there's the video that got this whole thing started.
Arthur Hage is a fundamentalist preacher who is being divorced by his wife. He refuses to cooperate on the sale of their house and was in court to explain why he was dragging his feet on the matter. He was previously ordered to make no comments about the case and then proceeded to talk to every reporter who would listen. Especially Jay Smith.

He openly insulted his ex-wife out of court. This self-righteous bastard claims that his wife wouldn't want a divorce if she was "in her right mind." Hage tried to prevent his wife from divorcing him. She had accused him of being physically and emotionally abusive of her, among other things. Judge Watkins signed a protective order to prevent further abuse, which Hage violated. This elderly, violent egomaniac wanted the court to try and force his unwilling ex-spouse to undergo a psychological exam before she could leave him. He badmouthed the condition of the house that was to be sold. He refused to sign the sales agreement when he was ordered to do it.

He claimed he had no money to pay his ex-wife yet this slimy fuck has a "chauffeur" to drive him to court. For someone who who portrays himself as a man of God, Hage shows an utter disregard for the law.

Hage got a copy of the video of the hearing, gave it to the reporter and then it made its way to Sexton who published it on his YouTube account.

Often when society only knows a little of the story, we pity the the assailant and not the victims.

We only saw half the story in this video.
The real victim in this case is Mrs Hage.

In the latest video, Robert Harper, another child molester who Halburn tries to portray as a poor, 62 year old, crippled amputee in order to elicit sympathy, was jailed for contempt of court in his divorce case. Harper is $70,000 plus in arrears in his support payments to his first wife (Harper has been married 4 times) and told his ex that he would see her in hell before he paid.

Harper sued the Cleveland Clinic, claiming that their doctors injured his sciatic nerve causing a partial paralysis to his right leg. That case was settled for an undisclosed amount. Harper hid that fact from the Court and refused to disclose the amount to Judge Watkins even though he knew that doing so would put him in contempt of court. The settlement money he received was to pay off his arrearage. Harper repeatedly told the judge, "Contact my lawyer." The judge rightly threw him in the clink.

Again, that video was published by Suxton on his YouTube account.

Halburn continues to harass Watkins.

He repeatedly calls him at home demanding comments.
On July 7, 2012, while Halburn (who now publishes his blog from his trailer in South Carolina) was in town visiting his child, he called Watkins' home and left a voicemail message. He also went to Watkins' home and attempted to contact him on that same day. He photographed the house at that time as well. He also left numerous messages on Watkins' work voicemail. 

We do not know why Halburn continues to stalk Watkins. We do not know whether Halburn either abandoned his kid to go knock on Watkins door Saturday or took the kid with him. Either way, great parenting, lardass. You're a fine example for a young boy. No wonder he always looks angry.

Was Watkins out of line? Maybe. But remember that the video clips that were released show a snapshot in time that are favorable to those releasing them. Hage has repeatedly stonewalled Watkins' orders to cooperate. Harper blatantly ignored court orders and hid assets he received in a court settlement. And then refused to answer the judge's questions about it.
Each one of these people has an axe to grind.

Violating a protective order and failure to pay child support are criminal offenses. These two individuals are probably not the best examples to use as poster boys.

William Watkins is a good man and a fine judge doing a difficult job. Two irresponsible pseudo-journalists invaded his privacy and threatened the safety of his family. He is certainly a far better person than his detractors.

And while we're on the subject of family court videos, fatboy, you claim Kanawha County Family Court Judge Michael Kelly, who is hearing your divorce case, is abusive, unfair and an awful judge.

Will YOU be sharing those videos too? You know, in the public interest of keeping bad judges in the sunlight and all.

Let's see them. Put your money where your mouth is.

You won't though, because you're a gutless pussy. You know if you release them the only person that's going to look bad is YOU. You don't want anyone to see your abusive, unreasonable and unfair behavior.

Halburn Comes Back, Shows His Ass 

Involved In More Hotel Incidents

Mark Halburn came back to town this weekend either to complain about the Wave Pool or to visit his little boy. We think it was the latter.

But, while he was here he managed to be involved in two separate incidents at two separate hotels, sources tell PutnamEYES.com.

He arrived at the Comfort Inn in Cross Lanes on Friday needing a room. Unfortunately for him, that location has been closed for renovation since May 18.

When he was told this he became very belligerent. The clerk referred him to Huntington or Barboursville.

Halburn then got on the phone to Barboursville, a location he was familiar with since he had been there in the past.

On a previous visit,  he made a huge disturbance, was rather rude to other guests, etc. Typical Halburn behavior.

Unbeknownst to him, he was banned from that location after that.

Apparently though nobody told Halburn this because he called and asked for a room. When he was turned down he really flew off the handle. That's when the hilarity ensued.

What caused the brouhaha?

Halburn loves to make irrational demands.

First he started with something he desperately needs.

A job.

One that paid him $55,000.

And a corporate car.

And his own personal suite.

Loudly.

He was told in no uncertain terms that he wasn't getting anything.

He allegedly called Comfort Inn Corporate and started making threats. The threats allegedly involved threatening to blow up their corporate office and corporate cars and he also allegedly threatened the manager.

Halburn's mugshot is now posted at the check in counter in Barboursville. If he ever sets foot on the premises again he will be arrested.

Why this guy's not in jail right now is beyond us.

The unusual thing about this incident is that it didn't involve a pool this time.

You know, fatboy, if you come to town to visit your son, you might try to not act in a way where you have no place to stay. Enjoy your supervised visits, motherfucker. With behavior like this, you shouldn't get ANY visits at all. You're a danger to yourself and others. But especially to the little boy. He deserves better.
