This Is The City

Charleston, West Virginia.

It's the capital of West Virginia. It's a great place to live and work.
There are lots of things to do here.

You can take in a baseball game,

go for a hike in the forest,

or go boating on the river.

There's plenty of space for everybody here, both public and private.
Most West Virginians respect the law and other people's property.
When they don't, I go to work. I carry a badge.

It was Sunday, August the 30th. It was hot in the Kanawha Valley. The boss is Mike Rutherford. My name's Vernon.
I was on a department scuba training at the Shawnee golf course pool. The pool had been closed to the general public for a long period of time and had been made available for our training.

While in the pool training, I observed a white male approach and enter the pool area through a closed and posted gate. The male, later identified as Mr. Mark Halburn, came through the gate and into the pool area.
At this time I identified myself as a Kanawha County Sheriff deputy and asked how I could help Mr. Halburn.
Halburn immediately became defensive as he raised his voice and demanded that he was "going to swim". I attempted several times to explain to Halburn that this facility was closed and that we were training. Halburn refused to comply with multiple requests to leave the pool area.
He became agitated and continued to walk toward us at an elevated position in pool area with his hands in his pockets. Halburn continued to refuse to leave the area as he demanded that he was going to swim in this pool regardless because we were.
Halburn was cited for trespassing and had to be escorted off the property by law enforcement.

On January 27th 2010, trial was held in Magistrate Court of Kanawha County.
The defendant, Mark Vance Halburn was found guilty of trespassing. He was fined $250 plus an additional $159.50 in court costs. The case is now pending appeal.

Publisher’s note: The above is taken directly from the criminal complaint in the case of State of West Virginia v. Mark V. Halburn. Kanawha County case 09m-10170.
A criminal complaint is a legal document that is usually filled out by a law enforcement officer presenting evidence to a judge or magistrate. The judicial official determined that the evidence presented in this case was enough to convict. The defendant is now considered guilty since he was convicted in a court of law.

  1. At some point society will have to ask the question whether this guy is too mentally disturbed to be allowed to drive a car...if he has one of his manic episodes while behind the wheel the general public is at risk.

  2. What was the publisher's "prior conflict with a member of Kent Carper's law firm" that he spoke of when trying to get a different magistrate?

  3. The "prior conflict" has something to do with the Mark Halburn public apology petition which can be found over at CrypticBullshit.com. I don't know WHY the name is on that petition, it could be that Halburn planted the name there because he wanted to build his "misconduct" case.

  4. There's more to it than that Lenny. The petitition had nothing to do with it. That was just his excuse.

There's Hill, Peterson, Carper, Bee and Deitzler.
Which one of them told him to fuck off?
I know he thinks Carper is an ass because of the airport thing.

  5. Carper IS an epic ass but that's completely independent of the publisher's rantings.

  6. If he thinks judges spend their free time online paroozing blogs he's more retarded than I thought. He doesn't have proof, plus...any moron could see that someone (probably fatty) put the name there.

He doesn't have a prayer and he knows it. If he even thought he had a chance in hell he'd be blogging about it on his site.

  7. There is no way a judge would grant an appeal to this assclown.

  8. Appeal give putnamblob more time to beg for laptops to pawn or sell to pay for his fine? Just a thought....

  9. Blobster is pushing the upcoming furball... this gives him the opportunity to "hound" local officials over the noise issues he says he has. He's just barking up the wrong tree that's for sure.

  10. Just as a side note, the Dragnet theme of this is an all time classic!

  11. So he was trying to bully a law enforcement officer? Geesh.

Now what I want to know is who called the blob and told him that pool was closed? Some one set him up, and I want to shake their hand.

  12. Here before there. WSAZ is reporting that the levy passed. Just saw he has a lovely editorial but haven't read it yet if I even bother. I'm sure it is just lovely.

  13. OMG. I apologize for the double post. But, I SKIMMED thru the "editorial" and it was per the usual. However, the "publisher's note" at the bottom actually says that one of the homes on Grace Ave. is owened by family members of the publisher. Would that be an admission finally?

  14. He's had that editorial up for at least a month. And yes that is an admission.
You would have never seen that before PutnamLIES.com started holding his feet to the fire.
It's amazing what happens when you turn on a light.
    The cockroaches run for cover.

  15. I see the blob has started to steal photo's (but citing at least) from "peopleofwalmart.com". I know he may never be defeated, he's like a diseaese, and no matter how much effort you put into curing a desease, you just won't cure it, ask Jerry Lewis. But, we have caused him to change. He openly admits that he does not own his property. He does cite some stollen material, and he pulled his enduring walmart blog because he realized he was lying and getting caught. The fat shit is exactly that, but maybe deep down, this asshole has realized he was in the wrong. Next goal is to admit he has been wrong at least once.

  16. But, you know "Courtesy of" implies that he has permission. And notice that he picks a blurry, out of focus shot. Great editorial judgment there, crisco. You should replace your "editorial board."
It's only a matter of time before Halburn himself shows up in People of Walmart. A drooling, shuffling fat guy in slippers? He's the perfect customer.
He doesn't realize anything. He's absolutely convinced that he is right. That's part of his mental illness.
He's just sick of getting hammered by PutnamLIES.com for it.

  17. I hope when you called him to ask about his appeal that you did it at the same time that he usually calls elected representatives - generally around 3 AM or so.
