Halburn Appeal Slated

Putnam Pool Boy to Appear In Court May 5

Mark Vance Halburn (alias Hallburn) has appealed his January trespassing conviction to Kanawha County Circuit Court.

CONVICTED TRESPASSER

Hallburn was found guilty of trespass charges i
n a hearing before Kanawha County Magistrate Traci Carper-Strickland on January 27 of this year stemming from an August 30, 2009 incident at the Shawnee Park pool in Institute WV.
He was fined $250 plus court costs of $159.50.

Halburn's appeal alleges gross misconduct on the part of Carper-Strickland, whatever that is. Apparently the magistrate hurt Li'l Marky's feelings. That's not grounds for anything in any court in the land.
The rest of the appeal is nothing more than a personal attack on Carper-Strickland.
The case has been assigned to Chief Kanawha Circuit Judge Tod Kaufman and will be heard on Wednesday May 5 at 8:30 AM.
Once again, the public is urged to attend.
Kaufman has several options in this case. He can find there are no grounds for appeal and dismiss the case, hear the appeal in circuit court or remand the case back to magistrate court.

Halburn is representing himself and as we all know, " A man who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client."

Halburn calls himself the "publisher" of a cluttered internet advertising shopping blog in Putnam County. He also moonlights as a substitute teacher.
He has a number of previous arrests including robbery and trespassing.

PutnamLIES.com will have more on this story as it becomes available.
We will also have full coverage of the trial when it happens.

The case number in Kanawha County Circuit Court is: 10M-AP-3

  4. Will cameras be allowed in the court room? I have to see this one and will not be able to make it due to work my work schedule.

I MUST see Halburn representing himself. This is a case of must, not want. If some one can record this and put it on youtube, I will be forever grateful.

  6. Details? OK.
    1989.
He bought a shelving unit that was missing a piece of shelf, and was sent to the factory to pick up the said shelf.
He was later arrested for allegedly pulling a gun and robbing them.
He spent a week in the San Bernardino County Jail in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
He plea bargained the charge down to disturbing the peace and pled no contest.
He got a year's supervised probation and then somehow had his record expunged.

We think he went in all pissed off about a missing shelf and made them think he was armed. People don't make mistakes about guns.
You don't stay in jail a week and get supervised probation if they didn't think the crime was serious.

  8. Good Christ. The content and wording in his own appeal will be enough to bury him!

"It is considered highly unlikely that even an individual who has sustained severe brain damage would perform this poorly.”

    That's....an understatement.

Side note: I'll be covering hate speech, the 14th Amendment and the Westboro Baptist Church tonight on LIVE!

  9. Unfortunately, I have to agree with Putnam-Blog about Strickland-Carper (whatever her name is). She consistently favors those that "know daddy, or daddy-in-law, however that works). She is a terrible "jurist" which I use lightly as she doesn't know the meaning. She adopts a "substantial justice" rule which means no party before her earns justice. I agree, she should be removed from the bench.

....PHEW....That said, Mr. Hallburn is a menace and should be jailed, incarcerated or otherwise committed based upon his extreme detachment from reality. If Mike Clifford fires you as a client, you are truly low. Mr. Hallburn is a rascist, sexist, abusive, borish, fat, loud, obnoxious, fat, loud, fat, loud, fat, loud, fat, loud, obnoxious, loud, annoying, gross, fat, loud (did I mention fat and loud), and generally a wart on Putnam County's sack. I long for his departure (or death) from Putnam County. I have privately enjoyed this site from afar, but felt compelled to respond at this point. I cannot imagine Hallburn's life - preying on events, creating events, lying about events, making stuff up - just to "feel" apart of something. I fear that this site, and the others dedicated to mocking him, only fuel his intense, grotesque, enormous, un-ending existence. Hallburn, go back to California, and as Alice in Chains say "somebody check my brain." You are a monumental douche bag and I have never disliked anyone more than you.
