He's At It Again

Fun With Twitter

Here's an amusing tweet we came across today:

And here's the letter:

Letters To The Publisher

"The People's Voice"

Halburn is neither respectable nor a reporter.
He's a thief, pure and simple.

Putnam Tailgate Cancelled-Halburn Removes Date From Site Only After We Point It Out

Earlier this month, Putnam Country Commissioner Joe Haynes announced that due to Saturday's special primary election for the U.S. Senate and decreased participation in the event, this year's Putnam County family tailgate party on Courthouse Hill has been cancelled.
Even though Halburn knows about the fact, he refuse to take it off his site and inform his readers of the change.
Why would he do this?
The reason is obvious.
It's yet another childish effort by Halburn to make Commissioner Haynes look bad.
Halburn figures if a lot of people show up and there's no event, they'll be angry.

Well, they should be angry.
Not at Commissioner Haynes, but at Halburn for knowingly printing information that he knows to be false.
And maybe they should look in the mirror and be angry with themselves as well, for relying on a so-called "news" site that has a reputation for biased coverage, unethical behavior and a cavalier disregard for its readers and their valuable time.
Now, since PutnamLIES.com has published this article, look for Halburn to stop ignoring the cancellation and start criticizing Haynes for cancelling the event.

Halburn Reports On Bridge Opening But Wasn't There

TRANSPORTATION
NEWS

WINFIELD BRIDGE RE-OPENS
Halburn Absent, Writes Story Anyway

Last Friday, the Winfield Bridge (Halburn insists on calling it the Ross Booth Bridge, proving again what an outsider he is) was re-opened to traffic after being shut down over four months for repairs.

In a ribbon cutting ceremony held by the DOH to re-open the bridge Friday afternoon, Governor Joe Manchin said, "I appreciate the public’s patience dealing with the detours and delays that took time away from daily travel schedules during this construction process. Because the contractor finished the work earlier than scheduled, motorists are now able to get back to their normal routines and routes."

Secretary of Transportation Paul Mattox, representatives from Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito's office, the Federal Highway Administration and elected county officials also attended the re-opening.
PutnamLIES.com's correspondent Tobias Fünke was there as well.

But, this article is about who wasn't there.

Yep.
You guessed right.
Halburn.

Halburn ran an article with multiple pictures and had quotes from the Governor.

The problem is that he wasn't in attendance for the opening.

The pictures on his site were taken at 7 o'clock in the morning, 6 hours before the opening.

The quote from the Governor was obviously pulled from another source.

Where was Halburn, Putnam County's gift to journalism? Where was the so-called Putnam County News Leader?
Only he knows.
We'd guess a restaurant was opening and he was scarfing down some free food or he was getting another free dog wash.

We were there, where was he?
Obviously he found something more pressing than covering the story of an event that is so important to Putnam county residents.

But it's exactly what we've come to expect from him.

Once again Halburn proves that he is an immoral charlatan masquerading as a journalist. He will stoop to the lowest, most vulgar, vile and disgusting ploys to deceive the honest, hard-working reader.
He is the lowest form of scum on the face of the earth.

You Say It's Our Birthday?

It's been exactly one year now since we decided we'd had enough of Halburn's shit. We were tired of him abusing
with impunity Putnam County citizens, government officials and anyone else that disagreed with him. So we started PutnamLIES.com, making it our mission to expose the lies, hypocrisy and unethical behavior of PutnumLive and its "publisher" Mark Halburn.

What a difference a year makes.

There is now an outlet for people to answer the scurrilous charges that he makes.
He has discovered that being on the receiving end of things is not so fun.His baseless attacks and bullying have slowed.

His theft of other photographers' work has slowed.

His serial plagiarism has been exposed.

The exposing of his thefts of letters from other outlets has forced him to resort to publishing generic form letters from politicians promoting their agendas.

His endless whining about Walmart has continued, but now people have the opportunity to answer back. Which led to him pulling his Walmart blog not once, not twice but FOUR times in the last year. The last two times it reappeared he cowardly and cravenly hid the page, making no links to it. Which begs the question, what good is a web page if nobody can find it to read?

We exposed what others had long thought, that many of his ads are placed there without the permission of the businesses they represent in order to sucker others into advertising. He even admitted he runs the ads for free as a "reward."

We exposed the fact that his office was not, as he has maintained for years, located right down the road just outside of the Hurricane city limits, but instead in his second wife's house.

We were the only media outlet to cover his trespassing conviction and provide audio of that trial.

Anytime a future employer Googles his name, they'll be able to find this site and see the truth about him. Someday in the not too distant future, a little boy will be able to see just what kind of asshole his daddy really is.
The internet is forever. This site and the information on it will follow Halburn around until the day he dies.

We invite all those who are sick of Halburn's abuse to continue to contact PutnamLIES.com

We'd also like to thank our loyal readers, our correspondents Harry Stamper and Dolemite and the other members of the Trash Bloggers Alliance: Girl of Words, Tyler Hollywood, Lee, Lenny, Tybois and all the rest.

Our work here is not done. Our output may have slowed but that is only because we have forced the other publisher to alter the way he does business.

We are not going away.

We'll be all around in the dark. We'll be everywhere.
Wherever you can look; wherever he's smeared someone because they won't submit to his demands - we'll be there. Wherever Halburn's pickin' on a woman - we'll be there. When he harasses people at their workplace - we'll be there.

And when people laugh and clap their hands when they hear he's leaving, we'll be there, too.

PutnamLIES.com will be here one day longer than Halburn and his cluttered internet advertising shopper.

INVESTIGATIVE REPORT

HALBURN WHINES ABOUT CANCELED P.C.D.A. MEETING

Despite Horrible Economy

With America and Putnam County fighting through the worst recession in the last 70 years, businesses aren't lining up to open up anywhere, much less in Putnam County.
Halburn seems to think that the PCDA is responsible for filling every business vacancy in the county.
PutnamLIES.com thinks Halburn is so desperate for his "exclusive" stories to be proven true that he is trying to deflect attention away from his unsubstantiated publishing.

As for the Denny's and SuperplayUSA that fatsack announced over two years ago? PutnamLIES.com will break this news.
They're not coming.
The company that was going to build the Denny's went bankrupt, so good luck with that.
The SuperplayUSA story that he claims he "broke" two years ago was actually broken by WV Media in 2007.

That project is just another victim of the poor economy, because one of the properties that the PCDA is actively marketing is the very piece of land that the entertainment complex was to occupy.
Yeah, the land next to Home Depot has been construction-ready for more than a decade, yet no one has built there.
Why?
Because, like Halburn's 2nd wife's house, the asshats that own the land are asking too much for it.

None of this is anything the PCDA can do anything about.
Contrary to the way Halburn likes to do business, the PCDA can't strongarm tenants into moving into empty storefronts in the county.
You would think if Halburn has such great ideas and is so all fired sure that everyone agrees with his positions that he'd be in overdrive to open a business or run for office. You would expect that.

But he won't.
Because he knows that he'd be a failure as a businessman and made to look like the fool he is during a campaign and soundly defeated in an election. Another public humiliation is something that he can't tolerate.
From the Lincoln Journal to the Point Pleasant Register to Best Buy to Wackenhut, from Charleston Newspapers to WPDE to Sitel to Comfort Inns and Suites, Halburn has been fired from them all. 25 jobs in 25 years is not a stellar employment record.
A guy that can't hold a regular job doesn't have any business lecturing anyone about curing unemployment.

The PCDA has an office that's open every day. Businesses know how to contact them if they need help.
Holding a meeting just for the sake of holding a meeting does no one any good. It's a waste of time and resources.

Halburn is just upset that a canceled meeting deprives him of the chance to harangue the board about buying his second wife's house at an inflated price.

So while Halburn is taking it easy pursuing his hobby of running a cluttered advertising shopper, Putnam County's population continues to grow and its residents have one of the highest median incomes in the state, even as the national economy continues to contract. In addition, Putnam County has the 7th lowest unemployment rate in the state.

Don't expect Halburn to change his ways. All we can hope to do is expose his rantings for what they are: insane.

What's In The FOIA Mailbag?

Sent: Friday, July 09, 2010 1:17 AM

Subject: CAMC Teays

Bryan:

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY we need real leadership in this county. My wife is having COMPLICATIONS from her surgery recovery and we have been told I may have to drive her to CHARELESTON(sic) because CAMC Teays does not have a urologist on staff. This is a county of 60,000 people-NOT a third-world country! We don't pay taxes to get this kind of CRAPPY services! You were made aware of this situation earlier this week and it hasn't improved. FIX IT !

Many thanks!

Mark Halburn

Brian Donat is the Administrator for the Putnam County Commission. What he has to do with CAMC, a private hospital, is a mystery to us.
Maybe Halburn wants the county to require an employee to drive their fat asses to Charleston or start a charity hospital.

What do you think he wants?

HALBURN WON'T ADMIT WALL WILL NOT STOP NOISE

Assclown Does Not Understand The Laws Of Physics

For years, Hurricane asshole Mark Halburn has told anyone that would listen the that the city needs to order Walmart to build a sound wall.

Halburn enjoys the view from his front yard of the wall that he hopes someone will build for him.

The neighbors have accurately said that his crying has contributed greatly to noise levels and that the loudmouth has been throwing up false arguments to generate sympathy for himself and publicity for his failing website.

As he has used lame arguments to get the sound wall, Halburn has bullied council members and other politicians who wouldn't buy his rhetoric, including C. Brian Ellis and West Virginia State Senator W. "Mike" Hall. All along, Halburn has refused to provide any scientific evidence or statements from sound engineers that a "sound wall" has any impact on sound waves.

Of course, anyone with common sense knows that the reason Halburn never produced any evidence or sound engineer opinions is that there isn't any.

Now, PutnamLIES.com has a recording of Edwards admitting that Halburn is lying in his article.

"I've said nothing different to him for a long time, other than for him to get away from me or to get out of my face," said Edwards. "Looks like a made up story again."

Now that Edwards has finally spoken the truth on the issue, it remains to be seen if Hurricane City Council members will continue to put up with Halburn's shit or run his fat ass out of town.

Halburn claims that Realtors have advised the neighbors that keeping the commercial zoning will make it easier to sell their homes. However, none of them have had any offers under the current zoning and none are actively marketing their property.

About 15 lawsuits have been filed over construction blasting and construction noise. Halburn lost his lawsuit last year.

Edwards is a member of the Putnam County Development Authority Board of Directors which put together the Walmart project and served as a non-elected Hurricane City Council Member when the Walmart was planned. He was elected mayor in 2007 in an election that included a number of disputed ballots in unsealed envelopes. After both the required canvass and a recount requested by the challenger, the final tally showed Edwards was the winner, whereupon the loser challenged the results.
The WV Supreme Court found that the ballot dispute was a moot point because Edward's challenger failed to file his challenge in a timely manner.

PutnumLlVE.com has alleged that the City of Hurricane changed the zoning without the neighbor's knowledge or permission, up to four decades after they bought their homes, but has provided no proof of those charges

Halburn alleges that Edwards refuses to put the Walmart sound wall and trees on the city council agenda.
The question should be asked, just how often does this need to be brought before Council?
Halburn brought it before Council twice in Dec 09, after which
the city contacted Walmart and was told in no uncertain terms that the company had no intention of building or allowing others to build a sound wall on their property.

He then brought it up again the very next month, in January of this year.
Thinking that, for some twisted reason, the city should build the wall.
Walls and trees are not the city's responsibility.

This means one man, Halburn, is preventing an entire neighborhood from having peace and quiet by his incessant non-stop whining about Walmart.

Halburn used to publish a daily diary chronicling the daily excessive noise. However, he has pulled it at least four times because he couldn't take the criticism originating here and on Tyler Hollywood's site that made light of his imagined problems and insane rantings. It reappears from time to time after people stop paying attention to him. The last few times he has hidden it with no links to it.

Councilwoman Lana Call says "The city can't afford it."
Halburn ducks the real issue: personal responsibility.
He refuses to be responsible for his own problems.
